My husband and I stayed for 4 nights in the converted stables cottage with our 4 grandchildren aged 8-15 years with mostly fine weather. We visited Beamish Museum; Durham, including the Cathedral and the Lindisfarne Gospels exhibition; and High Force Waterfall. We had lovely walks around the farm tracks with stunning vistas of the beautiful countryside. The children much enjoyed the close contact with the farm animals, especially the sheep & kittens. We'd have done much more given time! Read less
