Very welcoming hosts. Excellent room, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. All staff are friendly and helpful. The food is prepared and cooked to order and is delicious with a varied menu.

My wife had a fall on a staircase.

The breakfast on the Friday morning was superb, alas the saturday left a bit to be desired as the weekday staff doesnt work saturdays. Overall the staff were very friendly and quite knowledgeable of the surrounding area. We intended on going to Rutland water and Burghley House and the staff helped us with ideas and directions. The location of the hotel was just right for me between Stamford and Rutland Water, for the photo project I wanted to do. The air conditioning unit in the room was very welcome in the current heatwave
Dislikes:
I was surprised that there was no cereal offered at breakfast, though the full English was plentiful. Not a complaint but it would be pleasant to have some quiet background music during breakfast.
